Anua Operations Closed in Observance of Juneteenth
We wanted to let everyone know that we will be closing our offices and plant operations this Friday (6/19/2020) in observance of Juneteenth.
Juneteenth is a monumental yet often overlooked event in our nation’s history. On June 19, 1865, enslaved African Americans in Galveston Bay, Texas, were notified by Union troops that they, along with all other enslaved black people in the state, were free by executive decree. These were the last slaves to receive notice that they had become legally free per the Emancipation Proclamation.
We will be taking this time to reflect and educate ourselves as a company and as a community.
We will be back in the office and our manufacturing plant on Monday, June 22nd.
Thank you all and happy Juneteenth!
The Anua Team
